Upon investigation, responding officer Michael Arkinson noticed that Timberlake's eyes were "bloodshot and glassy," with a "strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath," per the court filing.
Arkinson also noted in his report that Timberlake had "slowed speech" and was "unable to divide attention" throughout the encounter. He said the Grammy winner "performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests" before declining to be tested for impairment, allegedly telling officers at the scene, "'No, I'm not doing a chemical test.'"
